Cell lines growth and growth inhibition were expressed in Terms of mean(+-1 of S.D.) absorbance unit sand/orpercentage of control absorbance (+-1 of S.D.%) following subtraction Of mean “ background ” absorbance. In addition, the IC Was 50 expressed as the sample concentration in micromolar that caused a 50% inhibition of growth compared with controls. The analysis Was assisted with SPSS program.
