Postgraduate study in School of Biomedical Sciences, Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), Thailand.
Suranaree University of Technology was founded as a university specialized
in Science and Technology in 1990. It is Thailand’s first state autonomous
university which has its own systems of administration, finance, academic
affairs, and general management. Important principles of the autonomous
university are high levels of independence, flexibility, and efficiency for all
missions.
SUT is located in Nakhon Ratchasima province, about 260 km northeast of Bangkok.
The campus covers sizable 1,120 hectares including academic zone, Technopolis,
residential facilities for staff and students, the Surasammanakhan Convention
Center, and the university farm. University facilities include the center for
Library Resources, the Center for Educational Services, the Institute of
Research and Development, the Education Media Development and Production Unit,
the Sports and Health Center, university dormitories, a medical clinic, a book
center, a bank, a post office, convenience stores, and free transportation on
campus
School of Biomedical Sciences and School of Biology, SUT
The
School of Biomedical Sciences is a large, multidisciplinary school in the
Institute of Science at Suranaree University of Technology.
Members of the faculty are involved in research planning a board
range of disciplines. A major strength of the school is the concerted effort of
the faculty to bridge traditional disciplinary boundaries in their research.
Since 1997, the School of Biology has offered graduate programs leading to M.Sc.
and Ph.D. degrees in Environmental Biology. Then, has offered M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees
in Microbiology and has offered M.Sc.
and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Sciences in
2007 academic year.
The School’s mission is to develop in its students a through understanding of
biological principles and specific problems relating to human endeavors and
their consequences, and to enhanced the capacity of these students to become
involved directly in addressing and solving some of the significant and complex
problems related to human impact on the environment.
Being an autonomous university, we are able to acquire highly sophisticated research equipments. Many high-performance biological analysis and determination facilities are available in our school and Center for Scientific and Technological Equipment as well as other schools at SUT.
Graduate Programs in Environmental Biology
The Graduate Programs in Environmental Biology has the objective to produce highly qualified personnel at the Master's (M.Sc.) and Doctoral (Ph.D.) level who will be able to carry out research and management of the biological environment in Thailand and in conjunction with the nations of Southeast Asia in accordance with national natural resource and environmental plans.
Graduate
Programs in Biomedical Sciences
