Shrub Small shrub, with appressed hairs on stems; stipules pointed, with appressed hairs; leaves alternate, imparipinnate (odd-pinnate) with 9 leaflets; leaflets elliptic; apex mucronulate; appressed hairs on petiole and lower leaflet surface; inflorescence few-flowered, axillary; flower pedicellate, with bract at base of pedicel, no bracteole at base of calyx; calyx with appressed hairs, 5 teeth; corolla of 5 petals; banner white, greater than 2 cm long, limb orbicular with truncate base and tiny notch on either side near base; appressed hairs on outside of banner; wing petals 2, white, keel petals 2, white; stamens connate as 9 +1 (or 8 + 1 + 1); ovary densely covered with appressed hairs; style flattened, hairy, more so on one side; stigma small.
