Herb; stem with curved, appressed hairs; stipule ± narrowly triangular, with long pointed tip, inserted obliquely, approximately 7 veins; leaves alternate, simple pinnately compound; approximately 15- 22 opposite pairs of leaflets; short petiole; petiole and rachis with appressed hairs; adaxial side of rachis winged; leaflets ± narrowly oblong (central leaflets approximately 3 mm long, slightly greater than 1/2 mm of lamina above midvein), mucronate, with oblique base; midvein off-center; short bristles at leaflet margins; 2 button-like glands at apex of petiole; rachis (including petiole) to almost 3 1/2 cm long; inflorescence extra-axillary; peduncle very short; pedicel flattened, < 1 cm, with reddish, appressed hairs; pedicel subtended by bract; 2 pointed bracteoles inserted near apex of pedicel; flower with 5, long, pointed calyx lobes, connate basally; calyx with appressed hairs outside; petals 5, free, obovate, yellow; stamens 9-10, yellow, filament short, anther basifixed, with 2 locules, each opening by apical slit; ovary flattened, greenish, densely covered with white, appressed hairs; style elliptic in cross section; stigma terminal, winged with crown of hairs; immature pods flattened, green, with appressed hairs.
