Descriptions : Herb, slender, twining, glabrous stem; petiole with 2 rows of hairs; leaves narrowly triangular, apex rounded, mucronate, base cordate (slightly auriculate) (leaves quite variable in shape according to Thai For. Bull. (Bot.) No. 20); upper leaf surface sparsely hairy, lower surface almost completely glabrous, upper surface with raised primary vein, secondaries obscure, lower surface with raised primary and secondary veins; inflorescence an axial, monochasial cyme, glabrous, glossy, greenish and greenish-white, with small, thick ovate bracts; flower with 5 overlapping sepals, sepals thick, ovate (or elliptic), slightly cucullate (not cucullate according to Flora of Java), greenish; corolla pale yellow or whitish with pale-yellow center, glabrous, funnel-shaped; anthers 5, adnate to corolla tube; 10 triangular appendages in a ring, 5 at base of filaments, 5 alternating with filaments, with long, probably multicellular hairs on surface facing center of flower; ovary glabrous; style long, slender glabrous; stigma with 2 collateral spheres; pollen not seen.
