truncate; margin entire or slightly wavy; inflorescence a raceme, axillary to present or fallen leaf; flower pedicellate, subtended by broadly ovate bracteole; calyx tubular, with 5 broad, short lobes, outside densely covered with stellate hairs; corolla covered outside with stellate hairs, tubular with 5 narrow lobes; the tube narrowing near the apex, below the lobes; corolla lobes fleshy, irregularly dentate on inside margin in basal half, the approximately upper half of lobes reflexed; corolla mostly green, except base of tube and inside of reflexed part of lobes yellow, becoming orange after anthesis; stamens 5, adnate to corolla tube and base of corolla lobes; filaments with stellate hairs; anthers introrse, barely broader than filaments; ovary inferior; style 5-angled, elongate; stigma terminal, button-like.
