Descriptions : ShrubSmall shrub; stems covered with hairs; leaves alternate, imparipinnate, with 11-17 leaflets; leaflets shortly petiolulate, narrowly elliptic; apex obtuse, mucronate; base obtuse; margin entire; lower surface covered with appressed hairs; upper surface sparsely covered with appressed hairs; stipules subulate; inflorescence terminal, raceme-like; flowers several per node, one flower per node maturing at a time; flowers of a node subtended by a subulate bract; flower: pedicel with hairs; calyx cup-shaped with 5 acute lobes; corolla: banner with limb more or less broadly elliptic, with hairs on outside surface; limb purple with green base having two thickenings; claw green; wings 2, purplish; keels 2, purplish, a little shorter than wings; stamens diadelphous (9 + 1); ovary elongate, elliptic in cross section, covered with appressed hairs; style flattened, glabrous; stigma terminal small; fruit (immature) flattened, slightly curvee, with several seeds.
