Descriptions : Herb; stem partly subterranean; basal sheath of leaf fused around stem; folded petiole, gradually widening into blade; leaf linear-lanceolate; petiole flattened, approximately 1.1 cm long; flowers epigynous, with long, tapering bract wrapped around corolla tube; corolla salverform, with a long, white, slightly flattened tube, approximately 2.6 cm long, with long, patent hairs; corolla with 6 lobes narrowly elliptic or narrowly oblong, apex not acute, yellow, underside with ret spots; 3 lobes with apex glandular with some long hairs; stamens 6, anthers basifixed, introrse; 2(?) locules, near base of ovary, each with several ovules; style flattened, columnar; stigma irregularly shaped; fruit (immature?) green, fleshy, ovoid; 1 locule; 2 seeds; seeds with white aril-like material around base of seed (placenta); seed ovoid wth basal process, black, longitudinal ribbed ridges.
