bilabiate, with 5 teeth; calyx densely covered outside with stellate hairs; corolla with 5 free, purple petals; petals narrowly spatulate with long claw; claws (all?) with appendages; androgynophore approximately 7 mm long; stamens 10; staminodes 5; ovary with 5 locules; distal half of ovary hairy; styles 5, filiform, cohering into a hollow cylindrical tube; fruit: 5 follicles, not twisted, outside with stellate hairs.
