Descriptions : Small tree, suberect, evergreen, bark; grey to pale brown, smooth, thin flaky, twig quadrangular, 5-10 m.
Leaves ; simple, opposite, glabrous, obovate or elliptic, entire margin, acute apex, obtuse or rounded base, 4-6 cm by 18-23 cm. Petiole; acutely ridged and flattened on dorsal side, 2-3 cm. long.
Inflorescence; spike dense, apearing with the leaves, Flower; perfect, 5 merous, calyx-limb, petal; ovate, easily shed; Stamen 8-10, light yellow.
Pistil; inferior ovary, hairy. Fruit; dry , thinly quadrialate 2 cm high and broad, one seed.
