Since 1998, the School of Chemistry has been supported by the Ministry of the University Affairs (the Commission of Higher Education) to initialize joint degree programs with well-established universities abroad. The project will directly strengthen the M. Sc. and Ph. D. programs in chemistry to the international level. Toward this goal, several international collaborations have been developed in accordance with staff and student interests and research needs. These collaborations include exchange of academic staff, students, and information, and the sharing of research equipment and software. Several scientists from foreign countries regularly visit the school, assisting in the supervision of graduate students, giving seminar, and teaching graduate courses in their specialties. Our graduate students have many opportunities for studying and conducting research in foreign countries.
