Collaborations

Several international collaborations have been developed in accordance with staff and student interests and research needs. The collaborations include exchange of academic staff and students. Several scientists from foreign countries regularly visit the school, assisting in the supervision of graduate students, giving seminars, and occasionally teaching graduate courses in their specialties. Our graduate students have excellent opportunities for studying and conducting researches in foreign countries. Currently, we have collaborations with the following international institutions:

In addition to international collaboration, collaboration within Thailand also allows students access to expertise and advanced equipment. This collaboration includes that with other schools at SUT, including Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Microbiology, as well as at other institutions in Thailand. Protein structure-function relationships:
•        plant carbohydrate-active enzymes function and their structural
          basis   (rice glycoside hydrolase family GH1, GH3, GH35 & GH116
          beta-glycosidases & transglucosidases)
•        Applications of these enzymes to pharmaceuticals & biofuel
          human metabolic enzymes defective in inborn errors of
          metabolism in Thai patients (at Chulabhorn Research Institute
          Laboratory of Biochem.).

•Enzyme kinetics using enzyme-based biosensors.
•Mechanisms of antibiotic resistance in Meliodiosis bacterium.
•   Biochemical and functional analysis of leukocytes surface     
         molecules in regulation of the immune system.
•  Genomics (Microarray , Single nucleotide polymorphism, DNA        
         sequencing, ) and Biological function of candidate genes in
         cholangiocarcinoma
